Fourteen Weeks: Lots of fun with toys!

Asher, you are fourteen weeks old and we can't believe it!  You are getting so big and weigh 14lbs. now.  Your 0-3 month clothes are getting so tiny on you and your 3-6 month clothes fit great!  Some of the 3-6 month stuff is a bit short on you- you are definitely just like daddy!  You love playing and are so great at playing independently!  Your friend McKinnley loaned you her jumparoo and you tried it out for the first time today and loved it!  We had to put a pillow under your feet so you had something to push off of.  We call the jumparoo your office and boy do you like to work!

Costco

You have been to Costco more times than most infants and while you usually sleep through the trips, this past time you stayed awake the entire time with wide eyes looking at all of the excitement.  Mommy loved walking around pointing stuff out to you and kissing the top of your head.  The minute we got out of the store you sighed and fell fast asleep.  You had had enough wholesale shopping excitement!

Your Grandma Mary (GM) has a lot of friends and asks you to send them picture messages for birthdays and other exciting events.  They are quite a hit with her friends and family.  The other day we put a graduation mortarboard hat on you and took one too many pictures.  You had had enough- it was nearing bedtime.  Here's you looking fed up!

Family Time

You love spending time with your Grandma Jane and Grandpa Jerry, your Grandma Mary and Grandpa Don, and your Auntie Wendy!  Here's you at lunch with Auntie Wendy!

Laughter- Music to Our Ears!

In the last few days you have been laughing up a storm!  The sound is music to our ears and we can't get enough of it.  In the picture above you looked at your pupalup Bella and squealed and laughed!  Mommy loves making you laugh with lots of mommy kisses!

Thirteen Weeks: Lots of Talking and Laughing!

You amaze us, Asher!  With every passing day you grow more and more verbal and love to play more and more.  The days are passing so quickly, sometimes I want to stop time!  The other day your daddy and I were talking about you graduating from high school one day and I started crying.  You are the love of our lives and we cherish every day with you!

Some of the recent excitement includes:

-A move to a new house!  We moved from our Seattle house to a house on the Eastside closer to family.  Mommy was nervous you wouldn't sleep well in your new room, but you sleep great here!  We have a huge backyard which you are already making use of.  We had your friend McKinnley over to play and you guys were so cute laying on a blanket in the backyard.

-Sleeping through the night!  You sleep from 8pm to 8am with your first stretch of sleep lasting 8 whole hours!  

-Talking up a storm!  You love to talk to anyone and everyone.  You especially love talking to your Grandma Mary.

-Bath time!  You love it!

-Nap time!  You are a great napper!  Sometimes you nap in your swing and whenever you do you grab your bunny toy and put it up over your eyes.

-You had your first experience laughing at a toy.  It was a monkey toy on your activity gym and mommy put it by your face you cracked up!

-Grabbing at Toys!  You just started doing this and it has mommy so excited!  Yesterday at exactly three months old you grabbed your owl toy and brought it to your mouth.  Today you spent the morning grabbing at the toys on your activity mat!

I'm so proud of you, Asher!  It was such a joy to watch you learn and grow!  You constantly amaze us with your bright smile, laughs, and "talking!"
