Onesie Baby

Asher, you are the sweetest baby. Your room is on the top floor of our three story townhouse and it often gets warm in there. When it's time for you to take a nap and it feels warm I'll take your clothes off and lay you down in your onesie. Seeing you in your crib in your onesie, your skin so perfect, so new just takes my breath away and melts my heart. There is nothing more wonderful in this world than knowing you are our baby. Our sweet onesie baby.

First Mother's Day - May 8, 2011

Me and my best Mother's Day Gift ever!

My first Mother's Day was wonderful!  Jeremy gave me two things I've wanted for a few days now- time for a bath and a nap. I enjoyed both!  Asher and the pupalups gave me a trip to the spa.  I can't wait to schedule it!  We enjoyed breakfast prepared by Brother Patrick with Grandma Mary and Grandpa Don with a special guest appearance by Great Grandma Ralphie.  We then enjoyed dinner with Grandma Jane and Grandpa Jerry.  Asher was nearing meltdown at that point though- he'd had enough of the festivities.  A special memory is Jeremy putting his Burberry tie on Asher and almost instantly Asher threw up all over it only to follow it up with a huge grin.  It was pretty classic Asher!

Asher Patrick - Eight Weeks

Dear Asher,

I can't believe you have been in our lives and out in the world for eight weeks now! Time has flown by and I can hardly remember a time when you weren't a part of of lives and the center of our hearts. You are learning and growing so much everyday. The past week was challenging for you in that you were growing and having trouble sleeping during the day. Today your daddy left on his first long trip away from you and I think you sensed something was up, because you cried the entire ride to the airport and back. It broke our hearts as you very rarely cry. When we got home you slept for five hours straight. You are getting to be so aware of your hands and love to grab onto me when I hold you. It warms my heart and you bring me such joy beyond anything I imagined. You love looking at your black and white books and talking to your grandparents. You are loved by so many people! Today you went for your first ride in your Uppababy stroller seat. You seemed to like it although you were quite sleepy. Happy Eight Weeks Birthday, Asher!
